We all have different degrees of sensitivities. Becoming aware of your own personal sensitivities can help you use them to your advantage in everyday life. The term clair is latin for “clear.” The clairs are clear, or heightened, senses that coincide with extra-sensory abilities (information about something without using the normal senses). We each typically have one or two dominant abilities.
Clairalience - clear smell, sensitivity to smell
It’s the ability to smell fragrances from the spiritual realm… flowers, perfume, pineapples (why not?)! Lots of times, Spirit uses our clairalience to let us know they’re around. You might suddenly get a whiff of pineapple upside-down cake, and know your grandma in heaven (whose signature dessert was pineapple upside-down cake) is around you. You can use the sense of smell to get intuitive insights from your angels, spirit guides and loved ones.

Become Aware of What You Smell
Taking note of all the smells you encounter during a day is important. This helps you be able to read other people based on what you smell. You may receive subtle smells that can tell you how a person is feeling. If may also tell if someone is ill. It’s also possible to smell if someone is uncomfortable, giddy, excited, annoyed, lying, or scared, etc.
Play the Smell Game
Have someone put a food, candle, essential oil or anything smelly into a box. Make sure you don't know what it is. Then try to psychically smell what is in the box.
Assign Smells to Emotions
One way to hone in on this unique ability is to assign certain smells to certain emotions. Perhaps you smell metal for anger, salt water for sadness, etc. Create your own code.
