Paramahansa Yogananda is a yogi from India who introduced meditation and Kriya yoga to the western world. He is one of my spiritual guides and teaches me that my soul's wisdom is always available to me. And, that my connection to that wisdom is further accessed through yoga and meditation. During a deep meditation, I received a channeled message from him. I am excited to share with you. Kriya yoga and conscious breathing are the foundational tools for maintaining active allowing. By having daily practice in these, you're connection to God will grow ever so strong. This is the stepping stone towards the light direction. When you close your eyes and you see the lions guiding you, have you ever noticed that they stand behind you. You are the guide and they are there to support you and keep your chin up. Whatever path you go on, it is important to keep your chin up. If the chin is down, you can't see where you are going. Through yoga and breathing, the chin stays up and the spine is straightened. Not only is the spine physically straightened, it is also straightening out and strengthening the mind and thoughts. When the spine is straight so is the channel for receiving. If you want to go from point A to B, but the line is crooked and the path is twisted if will take longer to get there. So with that, there is a physical element that needs to be incorporated. When the chin is down and the spine is crooked, the divine is blocked and there is no way for it to enter. When the chin is up and the spine is straight, the divine can come down and help you. When we imagine divine connection, it is in the stars, in the universe, and that is above you. Keep the chin up and straighten the spine. Doing these makes the heart up and open. When the heart is down, it blocks the energies of receptivity and can make you feel "down." When the heart is open, the universe unravels your destiny. As soon as the chin, heart, and spine drop, the insights are out of sight. Keep going and keep practicing and the path is viewable. Keep the heart open, the spine straight, and the chin up towards the skies. Sometimes the path may feel like it took unexpected turns even when all is aligned. So in this case, having and practicing maintenance of these steps makes that turn feel a part of the path and working with the path. Perhaps is it actually a short cut. Taking on baggage from to the past may interfere with the path. When you take on the past baggage, physically the heart is down, spine is crooked, and chin is down. In this case it is like trying to walk forward while hanging upside down. Or it may be like walking backwards towards a destination. It just doesn't work and can cause roadblocks, collisions, or you could go down the wrong path. It could also be like walking down the path with a bunch of bags and that will slow you down. The main lesson...It is important to keep the chin up, heart, open, and spine straight to reach the divine. Take care of yourself, love yourself, your soul knows this. It is what brought you here. Magic is in front of you, you just have to view it through this new lens. It is on a certain frequency that can be accessed through the physical practice of opening, allowing, and straightening the body's path. Through that process, the mind and spirit open, allow, and straighten the path as well. Be open to the magic and know that this available to all. yogananda om meditationThe following video is an OM meditation spoken by Yogananda.
